Review: Matrox Millennium G400 9.10.99
By: Jarret Griffis
As the turn of the millennium draws near, the computer industry is continually
redefining high-end performance for PC's. With graphics cards being the most
prominent victims of obsolescence, it can be difficult to find one that has enough
features and performance to last. Perhaps one of the most aptly named products,
however, is the Matrox Millennium G400. For the G400, the Millennium name
attached to the front couldn't have been more suitable, as this is certainly a product
that can take us to, and quite possibly well beyond the year 2000.
The technology implemented into the G400 chipset is undoubtedly ahead of the
pack. Environmental bump-mapping, Dual-Head display, AGP 4X support, and
Vibrant Color Quality rendering are the most impressive features, while a full
32-megabytes of video RAM and a 250 MHz DAC compliment the list
